The badge is genuine leather. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, allowing each hat badge to develop a beautiful patina. As with all responsibly sourced natural materials, some minor variations in color and texture are to be expected. Your hat badge may look slightly different than pictured, due to variations in leather.
