Durable and flexible TPU 280ZX Hatch Bump Stop Kit from Skillard.

Trouble popping the hatch on your 280ZX? If you're like us and many others, when you pull the hatch release inside your 280ZX the hatch doesn't actually open enough for the latch to release.

So when you walk to the rear of your car, the hatch is still latched. Then we find ourselves getting a passenger to lift the hatch while we pull the release or we are propping the hatch release with something so that we can open the hatch without the key.

We have tried replacing the bumper stops with a new OEM set, but that did not help.

That's where this new hatch bumper kit comes in. They are slightly taller than OEM to give you just enough resistance for the hatch to lift when you pull the release but not too tall for the hatch to have issues closing.

Another nice feature is that they secure with well nuts and machine screws into the OEM hatch holes, so no drilling is required.

And if you find your 280ZX to be an anomaly and you need a little more resistance against the hatch, you can add a washer (not included) between the well nut and the TPU bumper to raise the bumper, creating more resistance on the hatch. With the OEM bump stop this versatility isn't an option because it has a molded nub to secure the bumper.

We've test-fitted these on the 2-seater coupe and the 2+2.
