DOOR HANDLE BACKER | DATSUN S30

Skillard's door handle backer plates are laser cut from stainless steel to prevent rust and last a lifetime.

As you know, one of the great things about our Z cars is that they are lightweight. But with that comes thin sheet metal.

The exterior door handles on our Z's are attached by two studs and two nuts that go through the thin sheet metal on the doors. Those two small spots take all the load from us pulling on the door handles, which can be a lot, especially if you have new seals or sticking doors.

These backing plates go on the inside of the doors and distribute that load to help prevent damage to the exterior of your door.
