DOOR CARDS, ALUMINUM | NISSAN | 300ZX Z31

These custom aluminum door panels replace the door panels on the 1984-1989 300ZX Z31.

Skillard door cards are made from .040″ aluminum, and have a removable emboss plate to clean up the fit and finish around the door handle while also making it easier to pull the handles vs. a flat plate.

They are also formed to wrap over the top of the door and accept the included adhesive backed fuzzy trim that the glass contacts.

Sold as a pair, they include installation hardware as well as steel M5 Rivet nuts that allow easy secure installation. Note, it is recommended that you use a rivnut tool to install them. Please see the video below if you are unfamiliar with rivet nuts (also called rivnuts). 

Also included are new power window switches and switch harnesses. Since the factory switches are in the armrest (and often broken) we include new switches that mount into the door panel itself. The factory harness plugs will need to be cut off and the new harness plugs attached. We do not include butt connectors (even though they will work) because we recommend soldering the new harness plug in. We include a diagram showing which color wires in the door harness attach to which color wires in the new switch harnesses.

Though it is simple, we do want to point out that we drill 2 new holes, and reroute the power window wires as part of the installation. It is shown in the video below. 

These will NOT fit the 2+2, RHD cars, or manual windows that can be found in some Canadian cars.

NOTE: provided rivnuts are size M5.

For Z31 owners looking to cut weight, the factory door cards with arm rests are nearly 20-pounds for a pair, and our lightweight aluminum door cards are under 7-pounds for a pair, just under 3.5-pounds each.
